Community Supported Pasture


What is a CSP?

Our Meat CSP {Community Supported Pasture}
includes both Pasture Raised Pork and Grass-Fed Beef.  
It is derived from that of a traditional Produce CSA.  
A Community Supported Agriculture program, or CSA, 
is a relationship between farmers and a community of members, 

or shareholders, where the shareholders receive their food directly from 
the farmers, and provide the farmers with direct financing through advance purchase 
of products delivered over the harvest season, and in doing so it allows you 
to maximize 
your food dollars as you are given a discount in appreciation of your support!  
Shareholders contribute to the financial health of the farm, and gain a personal connection 
to the food, the land on which it was raised, and the people who care for it.

The other awesome benefit to this farming model, is it is much more sustainable for IP!
It allows us the cashflow to buy the things we need to get our animals going & growing!
And as our sincere Thank-You for investing in our farm, shareholders will receive a 
per pound discount over regular "retail" by-the-cut Pastured or Grassfed Meat Prices!

It really is a Win-Win!

How do I place an order for the 
Meat CSP?

 1.  Email your reservation(s) to inspirationplantation@gmail.com 
 2.  Print & read through the IP Meat CSP Membership Agreement
 3.  Fill out & Sign the "Meat CSP Order Form" (the last page of the Membership Agreement)
 4.  Mail CSP Order Form and Deposit(s) - Address is listed on order form
      *Mail Order Form & Deposits are due within one week of initial email reservation. 
      *You will receive an order confirmation email once your deposit has been received & processed.

Grass Fed Beef

1/8 share = 45# beef box 
$360/share - $100 deposit

How it works...
Each share will consist of approximately
20# Ground Beef, 10# Steaks, 10# Roasts, 5# Soup Bones
{Offal & Organ Meats are available by request at time of order} 

Total Cost Estimate
$360/box =  $8.00/lb - finished weight

Freezer Space
45# of meat will require approximately
TWO cubic feet of freezer space.

Pastured Raised Pork Share

A pork share consists of half a hog
$5.50/lb (hanging weight)
$200 deposit

How it works...
Your half pig is weighed after harvest 
(this is known as the "hanging weight")
The total amount due is calculated & deposit deducted,
The remaining amount due is paid to IP at pickup.
(Your final balance will include all additional butcher costs)  

Example...
90# hanging weight x $5.50/lb = $495
$495 - $200 (deposit) = $295 due IP (for pig)
$295 (pig) + $120 (butcher estimate) = $415 due at pickup

Total Cost Estimate
$495 (IP) + $120 (butcher) 
= $615 Total Cost 

Freezer Space
The estimates above will result in 
approximately 65# of meat, which will require 
about THREE cubic feet of freezer space. 

Cutting Instructions
When the time comes to give your cutting instructions, 
you will work directly with the butcher who is more than happy to answer any of your questions and help you through the proccess!  Buying meat in bulk can be a bit intimidating; HERE is a good guide that can help you get more familiar with all the different cuts available!
